Julia Krüger from Berlin Partner Presentation at New Practice
It was a pleasure to have Julia Krüger from BERLIN PARTNER as our guest, who presented funding projects and start-up support from the city of Berlin exclusively for our M.A. Design&Computation students.
Julia Krüger, Senior Project Manager of Medien | Kreativwirtschaft at Cluster IKT and BERLIN PARTNER, delivered an inspiring lecture to our students and alumni, sharing valuable insights on funding opportunities and start-up initiatives. Her visit to our studio was a special honor, and together with students from Design & Computation, we explored strategic approaches to securing funding for innovative projects.
Cluster IKT, Medien und Kreativwirtschaft bridges technology and creativity, two key drivers of Berlin’s innovation landscape. Collaborating closely with regional government bodies, the cluster supports the creative economy through initiatives like Projekt Zukunft, fostering cross-sector innovation and addressing societal and economic challenges. By combining technological excellence, market awareness, and creative problem-solving, the creative economy not only delivers aesthetic value but also drives broader innovation processes, shaping future-proof cities and regions.
We thank Julia Krüger for joining us this morning for an interesting overview of the funding programs of the city of Berlin, offering us important insights for our professional development. The event was well attended, a sign that there is a strong interest and need for knowledge on these aspects of creative and technological work.
The presentation dealt in detail with the functioning of national and international public funds, coaching support, the rules and benefits for start-ups and university collaborations, with a specific insight on design industries, and much more.
As a platform that intersects science, art, technology, theory and industry, it is very important for us to welcome and amplify these kinds of encounters, which are always welcome in our space.
